Alpine horn blowing

The Alpine horn is a typical Swiss cultural experience and one of Switzerland’s national symbols. Learn the basics of Alpine horn blowing.
Did you know? In terms of instrument types, although the Alpine horn is traditionally made mainly from wood, it is considered a brass instrument because of the way it is blown. It has neither valves, flaps or dampers. The number of notes that can be played is therefore restricted to harmonics. Centuries ago, it was the instrument shepherds in Switzerland played. But then the Alpine horn disappeared almost completely. It only re-emerged with the romanticism of the 19th century and the revival of folklore and tourism. Depending on the landscape, Alpine horns can still be heard 5-10 kilometres away.

Fox trail

Discovering a city in a particularly exciting way. Either as a short trail lasting 2-2.5 hours or a long trail of 4-4.5 hours. Through a fun group exercise requiring instincts, creativity and teamwork, you’ll explore a city in a playful manner. Fox trails are not a race, and high sporting performance is not required. There are already 40 different trails in nine cities and three castles across Switzerland.

Russian dolls

These carved, egg-shaped dolls with alleged talismanic powers are inextricably linked to Russian history. Creating them is a very complex and time-consuming process. First the smallest doll of the series is made. This forms the basis for all the larger ones that surround it. Each wooden doll goes through a 15-stage process before it is ready. Experience how these dolls are made from wood and then paint them yourself. This brings out the participants’ creative side, strengthens team cohesion and leadership.
